INTRODUCTION

(1) Insert picture of Larry

Ever Since Larry, a brand spanking new lamppost was installed on street, all he ever wanted to do was fit in with all the other lampposts. But he soon learned that making new friends wasn’t such an easy thing.

Being a lamppost can be as lonely as it is boring, and Larry would have been happy having just one friend he could talk to. Even the birds that would land on his head would spend more time squawking at themselves than talk to him. So Larry spent most of his time dreaming about one day becoming a traffic light post.

With all that responsibility of directing cars and trucks, he would never worry about being bored or lonely again. The only problem is that some of the other lamppost who has been on that same street much longer than Larry also wants the job.

Deep in his heart Larry knew that he may never get the job as a traffic light nor make any friends until one day he heard a mysterious voice. Larry looked all around him but could not find out where the voice was coming from.

Nevertheless, Larry was happy to have his new found friend until one night something terrible happened.
